Staff Product Designer, Modern Compute

Negotiable

The opportunity Datadog’s Infrastructure products help engineers understand and operate the systems their applications depend on. Our customers work in complex environments like Kubernetes and serverless, where infrastructure changes constantly, information is dense, and decisions about reliability, performance, and cost are closely connected. We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to join Modern Compute, with an initial focus on Containers Autoscaling. Autoscaling helps engineering teams make better decisions about how their applications and infrastructure use resources. Designing these experiences requires making deeply technical systems understandable, helping customers act with confidence, and fitting into the tools and workflows they already use. The team is rethinking how workload and cluster autoscaling come together as a more coherent product experience. This includes how customers get started, understand recommendations, evaluate value, and safely apply changes across their environments. The work also connects to other parts of Datadog, including observability, Cloud Cost Management, permissions, and AI-assisted workflows. As a Staff Product Designer, you will help define that direction and lead the work from early problem framing through shipped product. You will partner closely with product and engineering, bring a high level of interaction and visual craft to complex workflows, and help raise the quality of design across Modern Compute. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture, the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to help our Datadogs find a work-life rhythm that works for them. What you’ll do - Lead end-to-end product design for Modern Compute, initially focused on our Autoscaling product. - Help define the product direction for an area that is still evolving, from early framing and exploration through detailed design and delivery. - Design clear, trustworthy experiences for engineers making high-stakes decisions about infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost. - Simplify complex technical concepts without removing the detail and control expert users need. - Work closely with product and engineering leaders to identify the right problems, make decisions clearer, and connect work across multiple teams. - Set a high bar for interaction and visual design, including complex states, data-heavy workflows, and edge cases. - Create reusable patterns that improve consistency across Modern Compute and the broader Datadog product. - Mentor other designers through critique, feedback, and hands-on partnership. - Design and build realistic prototypes in code using coding agents, while applying good judgment about when other tools or levels of fidelity are more appropriate. Who you are - You have 10+ years of experience designing complex web-based products, including experience operating at a Staff level or in a role with comparable scope. - You bring exceptional interaction and visual design craft, particularly in dense, technical, or data-heavy experiences. - You have led ambiguous product work where the direction was not already defined and your involvement changed the outcome. - You can simplify complex systems for expert users without watering down how those systems work. - You are comfortable working closely with product managers and engineers throughout the product development process. - You communicate complex ideas clearly and can build confidence in a direction across design, product, engineering, and senior leadership. - You think beyond an individual feature and can create systems or patterns that work across products and teams. - You balance long-term product direction with hands-on execution and attention to detail. - You actively mentor other designers and help improve the quality of work around you. - You can design and build code-based prototypes using AI and coding agents, or have demonstrated the ability to quickly develop that capability. Bonus points - Experience designing infrastructure, observability, cloud, or developer tools. - Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, autoscaling, GitOps, YAML, or related infrastructure workflows. - Experience designing products for SREs, platform engineers, or application developers. - Experience working across a multi-product SaaS platform. - Experience creating design patterns that were adopted by multiple teams. Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That’s okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply. Benefits and growth - New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) - Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing - Intradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking - An inclusive company culture and the opportunity to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups) - Access to Inclusion Talks, our internal panel discussions - Free, global mental health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+ - Competitive global benefits Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog. LI-HYBRID Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Senior Staff Product Designer, Design Lab

Negotiable

Datadog is entering a new chapter in how our product looks, feels, and operates. Our Design Lab is defining a new visual direction for the platform, and we’re looking for a Senior Staff Visual Product Designer to help turn that direction into a coherent product experience. Datadog is dense, technical, and used by people working through complex problems—often under real pressure. The challenge is not simply applying a new aesthetic. It is rethinking hierarchy, layout, navigation, interaction, and product patterns so the experience becomes clearer, more cohesive, and more expressive without losing the power our users rely on. This is a hands-on product design leadership role for someone who combines strong visual judgment with deep product and systems thinking. You’ll work alongside visual designers, motion designers, product designers, Design Systems, and Engineering to ensure the new direction changes how Datadog works—not just how it looks. What You'll Do - Co-develop Datadog’s next visual direction by applying and stress-testing it across representative product journeys. - Translate visual principles into concrete decisions about hierarchy, layout, navigation, information architecture, interaction, and behavior. - Use visual language to clarify complex, data-dense experiences — hierarchy, density, and attention. - Hold the visual quality bar across work you don't own, and align teams around it. - Prototype, test, and refine new patterns before they become systemized. - Partner deeply with Product Design, Design Systems, and engineering to turn successful concepts into durable system guidance and implementation. - Create clear artifacts, pilots, and narratives that help teams adopt the direction and raise the product quality bar. - Influence stakeholders across design, engineering, product, and executive partners. You will report directly to the Design Director and work as part of a small, focused team defining the future state before it scales across hundreds of designers and engineers. Who You Are - You have 12+ years of experience in product and/or visual design. - Your craft is elevated, and you can execute it yourself at a high bar. - You're product-native. You understand how visual design and product design act on each other in practice. - You use visual language to clarify an experience, and you can say why a decision improves it. - You think in information architecture, hierarchy, and holistic system work. - You've taken a concept and turned it into patterns that scaled across a real product. - You're comfortable operating in ambiguity and in large, complex organizations. - Your portfolio demonstrates shipped product surfaces with exceptional visual quality. - You are a persuasive collaborator who can make recommendations and align designers, engineers, product partners, and executives. Why This Role Matters DRUIDS powers every Datadog experience. The decisions made in this role will shape how millions of interactions feel across web, mobile, and emerging AI-driven surfaces. This is an opportunity to bring a new visual direction into a complex, engineering-forward platform and raise the craft bar across the organization. About Datadog Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. Senior Product Manager - Journey Monitoring

Negotiable

Today, organizations struggle to ensure their most important digital experiences are working as intended because observability data is scattered across products and siloed in logical layers of their technical stack. We're building the system that fixes this: Journey Monitoring, a single centralized hub that brings together Real User Monitoring (RUM), Synthetics, and Product Analytics to bridge the gap between system health and user success. You'd be building a product that establishes a new functional observability layer, enabling teams to auto-discover journeys, track conversions and uptime side-by-side, and trace root causes across their full stack without cross-team handoffs. What you'll do: - Drive the product vision and roadmap spanning the Journey Monitoring hub, including the journey map, details reports, automatically inferred journeys, and cross-product data federation. - Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery to launch, working with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and other PMs across the Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) products. - Deeply understand the needs of distinct key personas: SREs and engineers (who monitor uptime and troubleshoot technical performance), product managers (who track conversion and investigate behavioral drop-offs), and business leaders (who care about outcomes and revenue impact). - Design the functional observability layer that makes end-to-end flow monitoring intuitive — including the auto-discovery of user journeys from real traffic, Experience Level Objectives (XLOs), and seamless Bits AI integrations for automated root-cause investigations. - Define how behavioral data and technical data come together to automatically surface whether a drop in conversion is caused by a technical failure (like a breached SLO) or a behavioral friction point. - Engage directly with early customers and internal dogfooding users to iterate on usability, refine the journey map, and optimize the cross-sell and up-sell paths for customers with partial DEM product adoption. - Independently research the competitive landscape across digital experience and business process monitoring vendors like Dynatrace, New Relic, Contentsquare, and Amplitude. - Work with GTM teams to define positioning and messaging that establishes Journey Monitoring as the shared unit of analysis across engineering, product, and business teams. Who you are: - 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS Product Management , with at least some of it spent on data-intensive, analytics, or digital experience monitoring products. - You have domain knowledge of Real User Monitoring, Synthetics, Product Analytics, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), and how to bridge the gap between technical metrics and business outcomes. - Strong analytical skills - you can write SQL, interpret complex data, and use data to drive product decisions. - Experience with AI-powered products is a strong plus - you understand how to integrate AI workflows (like Bits AI root-cause analysis) to simplify cross-team triage. - You have a strong sense of ownership with an entrepreneurial mindset - this requires someone comfortable with ambiguity and speed to push a major new capability to General Availability. - Sharp communication skills with the ability to interact with technical stakeholders and executives alike. - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience is a plus. Benefits and Growth: - New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) - Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing - Intradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking - An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups) - Free, global Spring Health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+ - Competitive global benefits and giving programs Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog. Product Manager II - SQL & Sheets Growth

Negotiable

Datadog SQL (DDSQL) and Sheets are two of the newest products within Graphing, Datadog’s most-used product area. Together, they give customers flexible ways to query, combine, analyze, visualize, and share data across Datadog. This role owns the product direction and user experience for both products. Your goal is to help users move from raw data to trustworthy answers quickly—whether they prefer writing SQL, working in a spreadsheet, or building visual analyses. Doing this well requires more than adding analytical features. Real-world analysis involves nuanced decisions about data models, joins, aggregations, time windows, missing data, query performance, and the transition from exploration to reusable work. You’ll work closely with design and engineering to make these capabilities understandable without limiting their analytical power. You’ll also help expand the data customers can analyze in Datadog, including third-party and business data alongside operational telemetry. This will make DDSQL and Sheets central analytical tools for a broader range of questions and users. What you'll do: - Own DDSQL and Sheets end to end: roadmap, adoption, and growth strategy - Partner closely with design to establish a high bar for information architecture, interaction design, and visual polish across complex analytical workflows - Use product analytics and customer research to identify friction, improve onboarding, and measure whether users are reaching useful answers faster - Define the experience for querying, transforming, visualizing, and sharing data, from query composition and results exploration to errors, performance feedback, and collaboration - Define and execute the strategy for bringing third-party data into Datadog: from market research and use-case definition through pricing - Expand Datadog SQL from a standalone editor into a platform-wide query capability on all graphs - Redesign how users discover and get started with Graphing products: rethink list pages, build onboarding flows, and create entry points that don't assume prior Datadog expertise - Identify and pitch net-new investment areas for the Graphing suite: new products, new personas, or new capabilities that emerge from what you learn scaling DDSQL and Sheets Who you are: - You have experience building customer-facing analytics, BI, notebook, spreadsheet, visualization, or other data-intensive products - You have strong UI and UX judgment. You can reason through information architecture, interaction patterns, progressive disclosure, and the edge cases that make complex tools feel either excellent or frustrating - You are analytically hands-on and comfortable using SQL, spreadsheets, BI tools, or notebooks to explore data and answer your own product questions - You're energized by ambiguity, comfortable forming a point of view with incomplete data, and excited to define problems - You have a strong technical background and can hold your own in conversations about query engines, data schemas, and storage architecture. - You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to present and defend your ideas to technical stakeholders and executives alike - 4+ years product experience Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan. You’ll work closely with a diverse set of Network, DevOps, and SRE teams to understand how they manage their infrastructure, what challenges they face regarding network visibility and routing, and how our product can help them better observe, isolate, and remediate latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues across the public internet, cloud providers, and private data centers. In addition, you’ll work with product teams across the organization to identify opportunities to create integrated experiences—bridging the gap between infrastructure monitoring, application performance, and network health—and you’ll partner with engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams to drive adoption across thousands of customers. Senior Product Manager - Agent Integrations

Negotiable

Datadog's integrations are the connective tissue between our platform and the technologies our customers run in the real world. As a Sr. PM on the Agent Integrations team, you will own the vision, prioritization, and execution for 100+ integrations that run directly inside the Datadog Agent from foundational infrastructure (MySQL, Kafka, Kubernetes) to the rapidly growing landscape of self-hosted AI and on-premise enterprise technologies. This is a high-impact, breadth-first role at the intersection of infrastructure observability and the frontier of AI-native workloads. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture; the relationships it builds, the creativity it brings, and the collaboration of being together. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You'll Do: - Own the Agent Integrations roadmap. Determine which new integrations to build and which existing ones to improve, balancing customer demand, business impact, and engineering capacity across a catalog of 100+ technologies. - Drive the expanding AI integration surface. Lead product strategy for self-hosted AI workloads, including LLM inference frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face TGI, BentoML), AI agents, MCP servers, and model orchestration tools, so Datadog customers can monitor every layer of their AI stack. - Expand on-prem and hybrid coverage. Prioritize and execute new integrations for on-prem technologies including storage systems, HPC schedulers, network devices, and legacy enterprise platforms where customers run critical workloads. - Build observability for ERP systems. Define and drive Datadog's strategy for monitoring enterprise ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle EBS/Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics) covering performance, job execution health, and integration layer telemetry so enterprise customers can observe their ERP stack alongside the rest of their infrastructure. - Analyze adoption and customer feedback at scale. Use data from multiple sources to understand usage patterns, identify high-value improvements, and maintain a structured, prioritized backlog across dozens of integrations simultaneously. - Work cross-functionally to ship and grow. Partner with Engineering, PMM, Sales, and Technology Partner Managers on launches, GTM content (blogs, landing pages, conference demos), customer design partnerships, and co-marketing. - Remove blockers and accelerate delivery. Engage directly with customers and partners to gather requirements, resolve legal or partnership dependencies, and keep integrations moving from scoping to GA. - Contribute to the broader Integrations vision. Align with adjacent PM teams (SaaS Integrations, Integrations Experience, Developer Tooling) to ensure the Agent Integrations catalog supports Datadog's downstream products including NDM, AI Observability, Security, and CCM. Who You Are: - Experienced PM with a technical foundation. You have 5+ years as a Product Manager with a Software, Solutions, or Systems Engineering background. You're comfortable navigating complex technical topics and translating them into clear product decisions. - Deeply familiar with cloud and OSS ecosystems. You have hands-on PM or Engineering experience with services from major cloud providers or popular open-source technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Kafka, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL). Someone with no exposure to the ecosystem of technologies we integrate with will have too steep a learning curve. - Structured and analytical. You follow a rigorous process for prioritizing across a large backlog analyzing adoption data, customer feedback, and market signals to make confident, defensible calls on what to build next. - Intellectually curious. You actively seek out new technologies and can explain why an emerging space matters before the rest of the market sees it. You're excited about where AI infrastructure is heading and want to help Datadog be the observability layer for it. - A strong communicator. You can hold a technical conversation with an engineer, a strategic discussion with a VP, and a discovery interview with a customer and you adjust your style for each. - Organized at scale. You can manage many integrations in parallel without losing visibility into any of them. You build lightweight systems to track status, adoption, and customer signals across a broad portfolio. Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply. Product Manager II - Model Lab

Negotiable

As a Product Manager II for Model Lab , you will define and launch Datadog’s experiment tracking platform built for teams training and fine-tuning foundational models. Model Lab centralizes metrics, hyperparameters, datasets, code versions, artifacts, and lineage to help ML and AI teams achieve reliable, reproducible, and explainable training runs at scale. This is a 0→1 opportunity to build a new product that will be deeply integrated into Datadog’s observability platform. You will shape the product vision, validate the market, and drive execution for a new category-defining offering that serves AI research, ML platform, and applied AI teams. We operate as a hybrid workplace to help employees create a work-life harmony that fits their needs. What You'll Do: - Define the vision and strategy for Model Lab, establishing Datadog’s position in experiment tracking and model training observability - Lead 0→1 product discovery with AI research teams, ML platform engineers, and infrastructure leaders to deeply understand experiment tracking workflows and pain points - Design a system that unifies training metrics, hyperparameters, artifacts, dataset lineage, and model evaluation into a coherent and scalable experience - Identify differentiation opportunities vs. competitive alternatives and homegrown internal tooling - Partner closely with engineering and design to ship foundational capabilities such as experiment lineage, artifact versioning, distributed training visibility, and reproducibility workflows - Collaborate with go-to-market teams to define packaging, positioning, and early customer programs - Drive early customer adoption, including design partnerships and private beta programs - Translate ambiguous, research-oriented workflows into clear product primitives and APIs - Establish success metrics and iterate quickly based on user feedback and usage data Who You Are: - You have 4+ years of Product Management experience, with at least one 0→1 product or major feature launch - You are entrepreneurial and comfortable operating with ambiguity, defining problems before defining solutions - You have experience with developer tools, ML infrastructure, data platforms, or AI/LLM systems - You understand (or can quickly ramp on) modern ML training workflows — distributed training, experiment tracking, hyperparameter tuning, artifact storage, evaluation pipelines - You have familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or distributed training frameworks - You are opinionated about product quality and developer experience, especially around APIs, SDKs, and workflows - You can translate highly technical concepts into compelling product narratives - You are comfortable making prioritization tradeoffs in fast-paced, competitive markets - You thrive in cross-functional environments and can align engineering, design, and GTM around a clear strategy - You are excited to build in a rapidly evolving AI ecosystem Datadog values people from all walks of life. Product Manager II - Security Graph Experience

Negotiable

As a Product Manager for Security Graph Experience, you'll help security teams understand how their cloud environments are interconnected, and how attackers can exploit and move through them. Datadog's security graph connects identities, resources, findings, and signals into a unified risk model; this role owns the layer that makes it comprehensible and actionable. You'll help teams answer questions like "what does this finding affect?" and "how would an attacker move from here?" so they can act immediately. You'll partner closely with platform teams, other security product teams, and design to translate a powerful but complex data model into clear, actionable insights. This role sits at the intersection of security expertise and product craft. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You'll Do - Define and build the roadmap, the query, exploration, and visualization layer that security teams use to investigate risk across cloud, code, SIEM, and workload. - Design the query and filter model that lets analysts ask arbitrary graph questions without needing to understand the underlying data model. - Drive the cross-product entry points into the graph, so that alerts, findings, and vulnerabilities across Cloud Security, SIEM, and Application Security all link into unified graph context naturally. - Work closely with executives, marketing, sales, design, and support teams to successfully bring new graph-powered experiences to market. - Develop a deep understanding of the security analyst workflow and identify where graph context changes the speed and quality of investigation decisions. - Maintain and report to product leadership on key metrics around graph feature adoption, investigation depth, and time-to-context. - Partner with the Security Graph Foundations PM to shape the data model and platform capabilities based on what the visualization layer needs to render correctly and performantly. - Partner with customers directly to test graph UI concepts, validate investigation workflows, and understand where complexity becomes a blocker. Who You Are: - Minimum 3+ years in enterprise software, with direct experience in security products (e.g., cloud security, SIEM, vulnerability management, or workload protection). - Committed to product craft: you care as much about how something feels to use as whether it is technically correct. - Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of presenting product decisions to engineers, designers, and executives with equal clarity. - Comfortable navigating complex backend data models and translating them into UI surfaces that hide complexity without hiding information. - Familiarity with graph data concepts (nodes, edges, traversal, path queries) at a level sufficient to collaborate with engineers building backend graphing systems. - Understands security investigation workflows well enough to know what context an analyst needs and in what order. - Strong design sensibility: you have worked closely with designers before and have opinions about when a visualization helps versus overwhelms. - Regularly uses LLM-based tools like Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate your work, from drafting PRDs and analyzing data to prototyping interaction concepts.&l
